Hello, I’m Hadiya from Chhatarpur, New Delhi, India. I recently completed a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology and have gained practical experience through an internship at Jamia Hamdard Hospital. To further enhance my skills, I’ve also completed various certification courses and attended several workshops. I am fluent in both Hindi and English, and I provide flexible counselling sessions through phone calls, chat, and video calls to make it easier for my clients to reach out.
My journey in psychology began with a deep interest in understanding human behavior and mental well-being, leading me to pursue a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology. The program provided me with a strong foundation in psychological theories, research methods, and therapeutic approaches, enabling me to effectively address a range of psychological issues.
During my internship at Jamia Hamdard Hospital, I had the opportunity to work in a clinical environment where I applied my academic knowledge to real-life situations. Working with a diverse group of patients, I learned to approach each case with empathy and precision, tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs.
My responsibilities included conducting psychological assessments, developing treatment strategies, and offering therapeutic support under the guidance of experienced professionals. I also collaborated with a multidisciplinary team, which included psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
I completed a certification course in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach widely recognized for its effectiveness in treating various mental health issues. This training helped me develop skills to guide clients in identifying and changing negative thought patterns, building healthier coping mechanisms, and improving their overall emotional health.
To broaden my therapeutic skills, I pursued training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT is particularly useful for managing mood disorders, personality disorders, and self-destructive behaviors. Through this training, I gained expertise in helping clients manage emotions, cope with stress, and improve their relationships through techniques like mindfulness and emotional regulation.
Stress is a common issue that can significantly impact mental and physical health. To better assist my clients, I completed a certification course in Stress Management, where I learned practical techniques such as relaxation methods, time management, and cognitive restructuring. These strategies are designed to help clients reduce stress and enhance their quality of life.
In addition to my formal certifications, I regularly participate in workshops to keep my skills and knowledge up to date. These workshops cover various aspects of psychology, including anxiety management, depression treatment, and forensic psychology. Each session has provided me with new insights and tools to better serve my clients.
I have considerable experience working with individuals who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). My approach involves helping clients develop structured routines, enhance organizational skills, and improve focus, which can be particularly challenging for those with ADHD.
Anxiety is a prevalent issue that affects many people. I have developed effective strategies to help clients manage anxiety by identifying its root causes and using CBT techniques to alleviate symptoms. I also incorporate relaxation exercises and mindfulness practices to help clients achieve a sense of calm and balance.
Career-related stress and uncertainty can take a toll on mental health. I offer career counselling and guidance to help individuals navigate these challenges. Whether it’s choosing a career path, managing job-related stress, or making a career change, I provide support and strategies to help clients make informed decisions and achieve their professional goals.
Depression can deeply affect all aspects of life, and I approach it with compassion and evidence-based methods. I use CBT to address negative thinking patterns and encourage lifestyle changes that can improve mood, such as regular exercise, healthy eating, and social interaction.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) presents unique challenges, but with the right approach, symptoms can be managed effectively. I use CBT techniques, including exposure and response prevention, to help clients confront their obsessions and reduce compulsive behaviors, empowering them to regain control over their lives.
Forensic psychology is an area that involves working with individuals within the legal system, including victims, offenders, and witnesses. My training in forensic psychology enables me to conduct psychological assessments, provide expert testimony, and offer therapy that considers both psychological and legal aspects.
I believe that successful therapy is built on a foundation of empathy and clear communication. I strive to create a trusting and supportive environment where clients feel safe, understood, and respected.
Ethics are at the core of my practice. I adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality, informed consent, and professional conduct. I am committed to continuous learning to ensure that I provide the best possible care to my clients.
In conclusion, I bring a diverse set of skills, specialized training, and a compassionate approach to my work as a psychologist. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or other mental health challenges, I am here to support you on your journey to better mental health. I offer flexible counselling sessions through phone calls, chat, and video calls, tailored to meet your individual needs.
Thank you for considering me as your counsellor. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your mental health goals.
